Stampede of Service 2011

Stampede of Service is an annual service day sponsored by the Center for Leadership and Civic Engagement. As USF’s largest tradition, students are sent out all over Hillsborough County to give back to the community. It has become a Bulls Business Community tradition as well to participate together in this campus-wide event.

This year, the group was sent to Hillsborough River State Park to help make a beautiful place even more beautiful. Students laid mulch around one of the administrative cabins, picked up trash along the road leading into the park, removed brush and twigs from the lawn, and pruned trees. Students saw first-hand all that the park offers and were encouraged to come back to hike, kayak, or camp on the grounds.

Thank you to all the students who came out and served! Stayed tuned for future volunteer opportunities with the BBC.
